Justin Bieber Shares a Carefree Smoke Break Video While Vibing to Don Toliver’s Music
Justin Bieber gave fans an intimate glimpse into his laid-back Thursday (Feb. 27) smoke break, sharing a candid video on Instagram Stories where he appeared to be enjoying a blunt or cigar while immersing himself in the music of Don Toliver. In the clip, the Grammy-winning artist holds the camera close, taking deep puffs before exhaling thick clouds of smoke straight into the lens. Flashing a few playful smiles, Bieber sways effortlessly to the beat of Toliver’s track “Hardstone National Anthem,” a standout song from Hardstone Psycho, which debuted in June and climbed to No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart.
This isn’t the first time Bieber and Toliver’s musical paths have crossed. The Justice hitmaker previously collaborated with Toliver on the 2023 song “Private Landing” alongside Future. In 2022, the Houston-born rapper also appeared on Bieber’s single “Honest,” further cementing their creative synergy.
Bieber’s relaxed smoke session follows another recent video where he showcased his playful side. Just two days earlier, he shared a clip of himself freestyling a lighthearted rap while hanging out with a friend. With lyrics like, “High like a fly guy/ I fly high like a magpie/ I go high like a bad guy,” the moment quickly caught attention, with rapper Doechii humorously commenting, “me asf lmaaooo.”
However, these clips come amid swirling rumors about Bieber’s personal life. A representative for the singer and his wife, model Hailey Bieber—who welcomed their first child, Jack Blues, in August—recently addressed speculation about his well-being. In a statement released to TMZ on Feb. 23, the rep shut down claims that the singer was using hard drugs, calling the accusations “exhausting and pitiful.” They emphasized that despite the truth being evident, some people remain determined to spread “negative, salacious, and harmful narratives.”
The statement also hinted at a period of personal growth for Bieber, revealing that he has undergone a “transformative” year, cutting ties with certain friendships and business relationships that no longer aligned with his path.
While the pop superstar has been more active on social media lately, not all of his posts have been lighthearted. Earlier this month, Bieber took to Instagram Stories to share a deeply introspective message about personal growth and faith. Declaring that it’s “time to grow up,” he reflected on the power of letting go.
“Are you tired of trying to follow all of the rules in hopes to get the results you crave?” he wrote. “I’ve found love to be more powerful than rules… I tried to follow the rules. I’m not good at it. But you don’t need to follow rules to enter into a life of love. You just receive it—so enter love living! God always grants us love!”
He continued by expressing a renewed sense of surrender, stating, “Today I’m letting go and remembering the weight isn’t on me to change. The weight is on God. So I give all my insecurities and my fears to Him this morning. Because I know He gladly takes it.”
As Bieber navigates this new chapter of his life, both his playful and reflective moments continue to captivate fans, offering a glimpse into his evolving mindset and artistic expression.
